In the late afternoon, those visitors without vertigo climb the highest sand dune among the Mingsha dunes (the "Singing Sand Mountains") in Dunhuang to experience the sunset from the peak, which stands at an amazing 1715m. In the back light, we see how people rest during the long ascent, offer a helping hand or take photos.
