“Watercolor” by Chris Rayn, 2013

In the summer months, a field of blooming lotus flowers is bursting into full color on a lake, waves turning the reflection into an intricate, living watercolor painting that only lasts for a split second. This is the short, precious peak in the life of the lotus that grows, shines and withers within a few months, each year.
