The Big Picture examines the relationship between the individual and the human-shaped world as its starting point, investigating how identity persists within the larger structures of contemporary society. Across a number of series, the cycle considers broader societal forces such as urbanization, construction, pollution and the pandemic as transitional states that reveal the continual reshaping of both the built environment and the lives unfolding within it. Rather than treating these subjects as documentary observations, the works use them as allegories for the enduring tension between collective systems and individual existence, introducing themes of impermanence, fragility and transformation that recur throughout the broader practice.
